Nick Carter and Jordan Knight Drop First Nick & Knight Track, “One More Time”

Loyal boy band fans, this is the single for you! They must’ve really hit it off while touring together back in 2011 and 2012, because Nick Carter (of Backstreet Boys fame) and Jordan Knight (New Kids On The Block heartthrob) have teamed up for a “sexy” new collaboration, Nick & Knight, which has the two pop princes taking on high notes and sugary hooks in tandem.

The first single has dropped from their musical partnership, and “One More Time” features the infectious chorus you were expecting from these boy band vets—but there’s more to it. The “woo hoo”-es, high notes and heavy hand on the percussion give it a rockier edge than the pop they’re used to crooning. It almost sounds like “One More Time” was swiped from Adam Levine’s secret iPod of demos, right down to the phrasing.

We’re not saying they did that, of course, but “One More Time” definitely embraces the pop/rock line that Maroon 5 walks more than the tracks formerly tread by NKOTB and BSB. We’re stoked to watch Nick & Knight take off, and if “One More Time” is any indication, it’s that we’ll be hearing a lot of sounds we weren’t necessarily expecting.

Nick Carter & Jordan Knight’s Debut Single ‘One More Time’ Is A Funky Ray of Sunshine

The Backstreet Boy and the New Kid on the Block go Maroon 5 on their sprightly first offering.

Naysayers be damned—boy band lightning can strike twice. “One More Time,” the first offering from Nick Carter and Jordan Knight’s side project Nick & Knight, is a straight-up summer pop jam, one that proves the Backstreet Boys singer and the New Kids on the Block vocalist have a true creative rapport.

With a sprightly lite-funk guitar riff, immaculate production and a sea of delicious “woo-hoo” falsettos, “One More Time” is less boy band and more Maroon 5. So if you dig the Adam Levine brand of vaguely funky adult pop, you might find yourself giving “One More Time” multiple spins.

Nick & Knight will drop their self-titled debut album on September 2, which Carter described as “a bunch of our pop, rock, R&B and urban.” The duo hit the road for a massive tour on September 15.

It’s crazy to think that I’ve had Kaos Online for eight years. I never thought I would have the site for so long. This all started as a hobby and a way for me to show my love and support for Nick and BSB.

In the eight years of owning the site a lot has happened. Even when there were times where I just didn’t feel motivated I managed to get past that and still keep the site going. Then two years ago the best thing to happen since owning the site happened. Being asked to manage and update Nick’s official site. Knowing that he saw all the work I put into the site for years and how he wanted me apart of his site still to this day means a lot to me. It gives me more reasons to keep the site going while also updating his. He truly has been great to me. Whether it’s giving me shout outs in chats, sending me tweets on twitter, asking me to help with a merchandise list in a recent chat or even the little interaction with him in concerts. These things may not seem much but to me it’s everything. Thank you Nick for inspiring me to continue what I do and inspiring me in many different ways. You’re an amazing person and I’m glad to be apart of your team. I can’t wait to see you in October!

Thanks to all the fans who visit the site. The site really wouldn’t be around for so many years if it weren’t for the fans all around the world who visit it. I’ve met so many people not only because of BSB but because of this site as well. It’s great to see that so many people tell me how the site is their main source for Nick and BSB. How everyone appreciates all the work put into the site. These comments are what makes me love what I do. I really love all comments you send me. Thanks again for the support for my site everyone!
