6 Years Since the Release of This Is Us

On October 6, 2009 Backstreet Boys released their 7th studio album (6th in the US) This Is Us. Here’s a performance of the first single from the album “Straight Through My Heart” on Jimmy Kimmel Live. “Straight Through My Heart” was one of two songs produced by RedOne. RedOne is most known for producing songs for Lady Gaga. The single made it to #18 on the Billboard Dance Club Songs charts. Which was the first time since the release of “Quit Playing Games (With My Heart) that they were on this chart. This album included songs from many well known artists and producers at the time. Such as Ryan Tedder (OneRepublic), Jim Jonsin, Claude Kelly, T-Pain and more. The album managed to reach #9 on the Billboard 200 chart. While in Japan the album went platinum selling 250,000 copies and reached #2 on the Japanese Oricon Albums Chart. This Is Us was also their last studio album on Jive Records.
